Fir trees from Scratch

To make truly realistic trees is not that hard, nor does it cost very much at all. It's the time it takes to build them that is the investment here. Time is really the only check on the nay side from us. Follow along as Grove Den relays how he made his Scratch made trees.

I wish this was an original idea, but it's not. I first saw this type of fence a few years ago on a friend's layout. I was shocked at the simplicity of it. What is it? It's nails, or brads, for an air nailer. The ones I am using are 18Ga. brad nails from 1.5" to 2.5" long. N-Scalers might want to try 22Ga. pins for your little fences. ;^)

Ahhh...

There's nothing like mixing up a gooey batch of water putty and slapping it down on your layout to make your own road.  The experience definitely liberates the 4th grader in me.  If you're of the same mind set my friends, read on....
