Structure

Once all the platforms are placed and dried we can start to assemble the walls.

guild_mar_29_09_024.jpgWith carpenters glue we glued the three front and side sections leaving the back off, for now.

guild_apr_8_09_006.jpgThe floor section tabs fit in the indents on the backside of the wall. Adding these floors will be a challenge however. With the wet glue the walls are still flexible.

I instead broke from the rules here and glued the cut out blocks from the windows in the indents. I then sanded off the tabs on the floors and slid them in place. This makes them removable.

Lobby

Inserting the lobby and front doors is straight forward. We installed the doors opened to add effect.

guild_mar_29_09_043.jpgWe placed two sided tape along the sides of the large windows to cleanly stick the glazing on.

Cut glazing to fit around the windows using a sharp pair of scissors.

Using wood glue, install the corner trims leaving room for the ledge up by the roof.

guild_apr_8_09_003.jpgInstall the two ledges with glue. If you are making the back wall removable, these ledges will need to be cut in the back, 45 degrees at the corners.

With the building upside down, evenly place marks under the ledge where you will install the supports. Glue them in and let dry.

This build took me a full week, and I build quick. So cost per hour is pretty good. When I get to try another kit I'll paint one and post pictures here.
