Another great RSLaser build is complete and I am once again impressed by the amount of detail available for Z Scale. Just when you thought you have seen it all, better yet when you think you have reached your limitation. Rich shows you, yes you can do that with Z.

So get this, the model has an interior and yes it is made to add detail to the interior. Measuring no more then 2" square it is hard to believe you can even dare place detail inside, well you can.

We started with the interior piece, the model is designed in two pieces (inner and outer) so you can change the display in the model easier. The inner portionis made of card and is real easy to glue up.

Next we started the front facade. Be very carefull with these parts they will break and if they do, don't fret looks no different glued in place.  We found our tweezers were able to fix all my blunders. Yes, I muffed up the decal a wee bit. The painter on scene must have been drunk, thats my story and I am sticking to it.

We added the glazing to the rest of the windows. Rich makes this task so easy I have to wonder why it was so hard in HO, remember this is Z after all.

Place the door in the slot and glue in place. Once set add the side  panels and align them to the scribe on the floor.

Glue the windows pieces in the card insert. This a nice way to do the windows especially since the insert is expected to come out .

Once the front door is solid and the windows are set in the card we can layout and connect the outer walls and roof. The tabbed corners make it easy to align the various pieces.  We used our handy dandy brass squaring block to keep everything true.

All thats left now is roofing and chimney. Using the brass weight we help down the roofing till the glue dried. The chimney we painted let dry and added with normal glue (it just took a long time to dry that way).

This was a very interesting build, and I must say I was surprised at the level of detail. I just hope Rich comes out with z scale dried goods for the window sometime so it looks more complete.
