The decking is our next focus here. We first painted the posts with our brown stain marker, and let dry. Add the post pieces to the deck as shown. We followed this by weighing down the deck from the top to make sure the posts all sit correctly. We let this dry properly. Next we have the skirting and actual scribed decking pieces.

Once completed we stained the decking with inkahol and some small dabs of stain to give the wood some colour.

Moving on to the structure, we put together the front window. Now this thing is small, so small the glue wetwill hold the pieces in place. Now I suggest doing this while you'll be at the bench as this glue will pull the sides in as it dries.Repositioning slightly is called for to keep the desired shape.

Attach the window with glue and lightly support it in place. We used our handy dandy brss pieces. BTW if you need brass like this,  go to a recycler and by it by the pound, its usually around $2 or $3.last time I checked.

Once the window is in place and dried we added the structure to the decking. We wanted to weigh it down properly so we used a big weight.

Once the two are dry we start adding the roof supports. Now these are SMALL and need great care. Cut them out with a sharp blade, and all at once, so you can do it properly and not in a rush. Adding them in a rush is fine, its the cutting out you need to watch.

You know you are on the home stretch when you start the roofing. And we found this to be so darn simple that we must publicly thank Rich for making such a flawless sytem. Two sided tape folks, a large piece is in the kit and what we do is first apply it to the roof panel as shown.

The tape, at least in our build, holds the two panels on each side together. No drieing here required. Move on to shingle.

Add the shingle to the roofing before you add the panels to the building. Try to make sure the shingle tabs are staggard, or some carpenter is going to cringe when he/she visits your layout.

Well thats the build, finish off by adding the details on the roof, the ladder through the roof as explain in the instructions and your set. We are going to hold off on any weathering untill this baby goes on the new Z scale layout.

Remember you can buy this kit online in multiple scales from www.rslaserkits.com
